Our client was looking to source part of its energy supply directly from renewable sources and required an innovative green portfolio concept taking into account the entire supply slate.

3EC have developed a novel approach to directly supply solar and wind power to clients – without compromising on security of supply requirements. Renewable supply is contracted directly with the generator through a PPA (Power Purchase Agreement), complemented by a flexible green portfolio for full demand coverage. This reduces exposure to volatile power markets and allows greater predictability of prices.

Leveraging this approach and our relationships with both developers and operators of renewable generation facilities, we were able to negotiate new, flexible supply contracts between operator, supplier, and client, unlocking additional value for all parties. Additional variables such as flexibility around the commissioning date and the client’s portfolio growth were considered. Our comprehensive contract design was instrumental in satisfying security requirements for necessary bank financing.
