Energy concept development
3EC were commissioned to develop an optimized energy concept for their client’s sites in the context of a strategic realignment.
For this purpose, the technically and economically optimized selection and dimensioning of components such as PV systems, energy storage and grid connection was made with the aim of avoiding redundant investments and maximizing the economic efficiency of the concept. As a first step, the status quo across multiple sites was analyzed and potential development scenarios were modelled. Regulatory considerations were considered to allow full utilization of flexibility from renewable energy generation. Specially developed high-resolution models for generation and consumption enabled optimized dimensioning of each component. A flexible energy supply contract enhancing the overall portfolio complemented the concept.
Localized, renewable energy generation and cost-efficient cross-sector utilisation were established, reducing redundancy.
